Role Description
Kona Engineering is seeking a motivated Intern, Entry-Level Engineer, or Designer for a part-time, contract, or full-time position. The successful candidate will support utility infrastructure projects through field investigations, data collection, engineering design and drafting, records research, permit preparation, and project coordination. Responsibilities include developing design and construction drawings, preparing technical documentation and permit packages, and assisting with proposals, estimates, and project execution under the guidance of senior staff. This position is primarily based in the Greater Philadelphia area with flexible remote work options available.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Design, Drafting, or a related field.
- EIT certification and utility industry experience are preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting/design software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
