Third Grade Teacher – Tutor Zone

Tutor Zone is looking for a confident, energetic, and caring Third Grade Teacher to join our growing school family! We are a small, family-oriented microschool entering our 3rd year, and we are looking for someone who loves working with young learners and is passionate about helping students continue building strong academic skills while growing their confidence and independence.

Position Start Date: August 3rd

What We're Looking For:

• Confident teaching third grade students and supporting a range of learning needs
• Strong ability to strengthen reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, writing, grammar, and spelling
• Comfortable teaching third grade math concepts and helping students build confidence with problem-solving and critical thinking
• Able to support science and social studies instruction using provided curriculum
• Patient, nurturing, kind, and encouraging with young learners
• Energetic, positive, and able to keep students engaged throughout the day
• Strong classroom management skills with a structured but caring approach
• A true team player who enjoys being part of a supportive, family-style school environment
• Dependable, organized, flexible, and professional

Position Details:

• All curriculum, lesson plans, assignments, quizzes, and instructional materials are provided
• No lesson planning required
• No grading required
• Your main responsibility is teaching the provided lessons, supporting students academically and emotionally, and maintaining a positive, structured classroom environment
• Teacher planning will begin the week of August 3rd, with students beginning shortly after
• Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
• 1099 independent contractor position
• Compensation based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Teach daily lessons using the provided curriculum
• Foster a positive, engaging, and respectful classroom environment
• Support students who need additional practice or encouragement
• Communicate professionally with administration regarding student progress or concerns
• Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
• Supervise students throughout the school day and during transitions
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to support student success
