About the Opportunity
I'm eliminating Calling Collapse™, a phrase I coined (trademark pending) for something I believe gets misdiagnosed every single day: burnout. This work is grounded in my dissertation, a quantitative study of 250 respondents, and lived experience of my own. I've written a book on it, I'm pursuing podcast guest appearances, writing for local and international publications, and speaking publicly, including seven speaking engagements this fall and a spring keynote opportunity, with more on the way. Right now I have over 800 Instagram followers and a strong following on LinkedIN.
This is a startup, not a mature business you're asked to maintain. The research and momentum are already built. What's still wide open is the marketing, social strategy, and entrepreneurial direction that gets this in front of the people who need it. You'd be joining at the ground floor, helping shape how this idea grows.
Overall, I am trying to get the message out to find the people I can help and the decision-makers. I feel strongly that if we can use this framework in college textbooks and organization policy we will see a significant change in the wellbeing of the nation's workforce!
Let's think big!
Responsibilities
These are the items that need polishing. We can discuss and find what you're comfortable tackling.
- Build and manage a content calendar and social strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook
- Develop website content and copy
- Support presentation and speech development for keynotes and speaking engagements
- Assist with public relations efforts, including identifying and pitching relevant podcasts for guest appearances
- Contribute to brand direction and strategy as we prepare to launch callingcollapse.com and expand into coaching
- Bring your own ideas. This is genuinely collaborative work, not just execution of someone else's plan
Skills We're Looking For
- Marketing and outreach skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfort with (or eagerness to learn) social media platforms and content scheduling tools
- Basic familiarity with website platforms (e.g., Squarespace) a plus, not required
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Genuine interest in workplace wellbeing, psychology, education, or organizational behavior
Minimum Requirements
- Currently enrolled college student (any year, any major welcomed if genuinely interested)
- Reliable access to a computer and internet
- Able to commit to a consistent, agreed-upon weekly schedule
- Comfortable working independently and communicating proactively in a remote setting
Who I'm Looking For
More than a specific major or resume line, I'm looking for someone genuinely curious about this topic and why it matters. Someone dependable, who shows up and follows through. Someone excited to learn, even in areas outside their comfort zone, and willing to bring their own ideas to the table rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do.
Logistics
I work from home and am flexible on meeting format, in person somewhere comfortable for you, or online. If this sounds like a fit, I'd love to talk.
