Public Relations Intern

Walt & Company, an award-winning Silicon Valley public relations and social media communications agency, is seeking an intern interested in gaining real-world, hands-on experience.  This is an opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented PR professionals in the business, to build your portfolio, and to develop marketable skills in a real-life professional environment.  As an intern, you will assist one or more account teams with day-to-day account service activities, including conducting research, drafting press releases and media alerts, building media lists, monitoring industry news, and supporting product launches for innovative technology companies. You will also have the opportunity to participate in client meetings and agency planning and brainstorming sessions.

We’re seeking an individual who 1) has a passion for PR, demonstrates excellent communication skills; 2) is involved with web culture – e.g., social media communities, blogs, online news sites, etc.; 3) can multitask; 4) is curious about AI, enterprise software, cybersecurity, or consumer technology and 5) is a creative thinker.

Ideally, we are looking for a graduating senior who is looking for a foot in the door. You must be available to commit to a full-time internship (40 hours/week) for a minimum of 3 months. The position will be primarily remote however, we require one day in the office on Tuesdays in Downtown Campbell.
