At Apex, pre-vet techs are trusted to work at the top of their skillset. You'll manage critical patients, support advanced procedures, think critically, and play a direct role in patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

You'll help drive patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment:

• Monitor and manage hospitalized patients
• Obtain histories, perform assessments, and recognize changes in condition
• Place and maintain IV catheters
• Administer medications and treatments
• Perform blood draws and run diagnostics
• Assist with anesthesia and emergency procedures
• Take radiographs and support diagnostic workflows
• Calculate and administer fluids and CRIs
• Provide wound care and bandaging
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate effectively with doctors, teammates, and clients

This is hands-on, high-acuity emergency medicine.

The Reality of the Role

Emergency medicine is rewarding, but it isn't easy.

• You'll be on your feet for much of the shift
• You'll lift and handle patients of varying sizes
• You'll encounter emotional and high-stress situations
• You'll be asked to think quickly and adapt constantly

Requirements

• Pre-Vet Tech Students preferred
• Strong technical and nursing skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Reliable attendance and transportation

Schedule

• Day, evening, overnight, opportunities available
• Weekend availability required
• Full-time position
