About Sports X

Sports X partners with elementary schools throughout San Diego County to provide high-quality after-school sports enrichment programs. Our mission is to help children develop confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of physical activity through fun, engaging coaching.

We are currently hiring 10 energetic, dependable coaches for our Fall coaching staff.

Whether you're a former athlete, current college student, aspiring teacher, coach, or simply passionate about working with kids, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school sports programs for elementary school students (TK–6th Grade)
• Teach fundamental skills in sports such as:
  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Flag Football
  • Multi-Sport Games
  • Physical Education Activities
• Create a fun, safe, and positive learning environment
• Manage groups of approximately 10–25 students
• Set up and organize equipment before and after each class
• Communicate professionally with school staff and Sports X management
• Arrive on time and prepared for every session

Schedule

• Programs begin in approximately one month
• Typically Monday–Friday, with some weekend coaching opportunities available
• Hours are typically between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM
• Most coaching shifts are 1–3 hours per day
• Flexible scheduling based on your availability

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have one or more of the following:

• Experience playing or coaching sports
• Experience working with children
• Current college student or recent graduate
• Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Recreation, or related major
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check

CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not required.
