About Rydr

Rydr Tech LLC is an Atlanta-based technology startup developing a next-generation rideshare platform designed around transparency, driver empowerment, and rider loyalty.

Founded by Southern New Hampshire University Computer Science student Khris Nunnally, Rydr has grown from an idea into two native iOS applications currently preparing for live beta testing in Atlanta, Georgia.

This internship provides students with the opportunity to contribute to production-ready software while learning professional software engineering practices in a collaborative startup environment.

 

Overview

Rydr is seeking motivated Software Developer Interns (iOS) who are passionate about building innovative mobile applications in a fast-paced startup environment. As an iOS Software Developer Intern, you will collaborate with the founder and fellow developers to help build and enhance Rydr’s mobile platform while gaining hands-on experience with modern software engineering practices.

This internship is designed as a structured educational experience where students contribute to real-world software projects while learning Agile development methodologies, version control, mobile application development, cloud technologies, and collaborative software engineering workflows.

Students are encouraged to learn, ask questions, collaborate, and grow throughout the internship.

 

Responsibilities

-Develop, test, and maintain features for Rydr’s iOS applications.

-Build user interfaces using Swift and SwiftUI.

-Collaborate with the founder and development team on software design, implementation, and feature development.

-Integrate Firebase, Firestore, REST APIs, and other backend services.

-Participate in debugging, testing, and performance optimization.

-Contribute to code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.

-Maintain technical documentation and development workflows.

-Work with Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development.

-Participate in Agile development processes, sprint planning, and team meetings.

-Research and implement new technologies that improve application performance and user experience.


Qualifications

-Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

-Familiarity with Swift or a strong desire to learn iOS development.

-Interest in mobile application development and startup technology.

-Basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

-Experience with Git, GitHub, Firebase, REST APIs, or Xcode is a plus but not required.

-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
