Willowwind School Summer Program Teacher - Job Description
Willowwind School, an independent PreK through sixth grade school in Iowa City, is seeking lead teachers to teach week-to-week Summer Program classes. Willowwind’s Summer Program runs until August 7th. The Lead Teacher will work with students K-6th grade. Weekly teaching assignments are based on both teacher availability and Willowwind’s needs. Hours are from 7:30 A.M. -3:30 P.M.
The Lead Teacher is responsible for following lessons for their specific class and age group. Class feature a wide range of topics including the following:
- Engineering
- Art
- Outdoor Adventure
- Technology
- STEAM
Candidates must have excellent rapport with children and be able to plan age appropriate class activities. Experience working with school aged children is desired. A teaching license is not required, but a background in education, or related fields is preferred.
Job Hours: 40 hours per week
