About Tribute Band Sessions
Tribute Band Sessions is one of the only podcasts in the world dedicated entirely to the tribute band industry. We interview legendary tribute performers, celebrity musicians who perform in tribute acts, agents, managers, producers, venue owners, and other influential people helping shape one of the fastest-growing segments of the live music business.
This isn't just another music podcast. It's an inside look at a multi-billion-dollar industry that most people never knew existed.
As the show continues to grow, we're looking for someone who loves getting attention for great content and isn't afraid to think outside the box.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a motivated Public Relations & Growth Marketing Intern whose primary mission is simple:
Get Tribute Band Sessions in front of as many people as possible.
This is much more than sending the same email to a handful of magazines.
We want someone who enjoys researching opportunities, experimenting with new ideas, testing different approaches, and constantly asking:
"Where else can we get this podcast seen?"
If you're creative, resourceful, organized, and excited about building something, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
Your primary responsibility will be finding opportunities to promote Tribute Band Sessions everywhere possible.
This includes:
- Pitching podcast episodes, guest stories, and industry trends to online publications, blogs, magazines, newspapers, radio stations, podcasts, and digital media.
- Building and maintaining large media databases of editors, journalists, bloggers, influencers, podcast hosts, Facebook groups, Reddit communities, newsletters, and niche websites.
- Researching over 100+ potential publications and media outlets that could feature our guests or our podcast.
- Creating multiple versions of outreach emails and testing different subject lines, story angles, and messaging to improve response rates.
- Tracking every pitch using spreadsheets so we can identify which publications, subject lines, and story angles perform best.
- Following up professionally with media contacts.
- Looking for guest posting opportunities, interview exchanges, and podcast collaborations.
- Researching PR request services where journalists actively look for stories and experts.
- Identifying trending music, entertainment, and tribute-related news that we can use to create timely content.
- Finding creative marketing opportunities beyond traditional PR.
Growth Marketing Responsibilities
We're also looking for someone who enjoys brainstorming ways to grow our audience.
This includes ideas for increasing:
- YouTube subscribers
- Podcast downloads
- Instagram followers
- Facebook engagement
- TikTok growth
- Newsletter subscribers
- Website traffic
- Comments, shares, and audience interaction
No idea is too small or too crazy.
If you think, "What if we tried..." we want to hear it.
Some ideas may become real projects.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Loves researching and finding opportunities online.
- Enjoys writing emails people actually respond to.
- Is organized and detail-oriented.
- Can work independently without constant supervision.
- Likes testing ideas and improving results.
- Is interested in music, entertainment, podcasts, media, or marketing.
- Isn't discouraged by hearing "no." Great PR often comes after hundreds of pitches.
Bonus Skills
It's great if you have experience with:
- Public Relations
- Communications
- Marketing
- Journalism
- Digital Marketing
- Social Media Marketing
- Podcast Promotion
- SEO
- Influencer Outreach
- Email Marketing
None of these are required—we're much more interested in curiosity, persistence, and creativity.
