As a Public Health Analyst, you will:

  • Conduct studies, write policy analyses, issue papers, briefing books and perform other analytical work related to the planning, development, organization, administration, evaluation, and implementation of national and international public health programs and policy.
  • Under the guidance of the supervisor or senior analyst, the incumbent provides coordination, planning, implementation, and evaluation of policy and global public health activities.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the USG agencies, international agencies and public/private organizations. Maintain liaison with counterparts in HHS agencies, State Department desk officers, U.S. embassies overseas, Washington-based foreign embassies and other relevant organizations to promote understanding and acceptance of HHS' mission and objectives.
  • Provide administrative and technical assistance to the Director on issues that impact the United States and international regions. Have knowledge of methods, processes, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health or health-related programs in an international setting.
