Social Media Marketing Intern

Social Media Marketing Intern — Video Editing & Content (Remote, Part-Time)

Company: TrueView Cards Type: Part-time internship (college) Location: Fully remote Hours: ~10 hours/week, flexible around your class schedule Pay: $18–22/hour

About TrueView Cards

TrueView Cards is a marketplace for buying and selling raw (ungraded) Pokémon cards, built around a proprietary listing standard — the TrueView Card Report — that gives buyers real condition transparency without the cost and wait of traditional grading. Real cards. Clear condition reports.

Our #1 growth engine is short-form video. We post daily across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook, and that content is what brings new buyers and sellers to the platform. We're looking for a social media marketing intern to help make that engine run harder. Someone who can take the ideas and raw footage and turn them into scroll-stopping videos, while learning the full growth playbook alongside the founder.

What You'll Do

You'll work directly with the founder to grow TrueView Cards through social media. This is a marketing role with editing at its core. Day to day, that means:

  • Content ideation — Help source video ideas from Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, and X (trending grading debates, "is my card fake?" posts, market hot takes) and shape angles that stand out. We plan the week's content intentionally, so you'll be part of that weekly planning rhythm.
  • Video editing (the core of the role) — Take raw talking-head footage and turn it into tight, high-retention short-form video: background removal, loudness normalization, cutting out dead air, dropping in screenshots/B-roll/stickers, and keeping the visual changing roughly every two seconds so nothing ever sits static. Every video ships with accurate captions and a clean, vertical cover/thumbnail that crops well on all four platforms.
  • Paid social (learn as you grow) — Over time, you'll get the chance to help plan and run paid ads on TikTok, Meta and Reddit. Prior ads experience is a plus but absolutely not required — we'll teach you.

We run a documented, repeatable content system (clear SOPs for weekly planning and for filming/editing/publishing), so you'll always know exactly what "done" looks like — and you'll help us make that system sharper.

Who You Are

  • You enjoy short-form video and understand what makes a Reel or TikTok get watched.
  • You have hands-on editing experience. CapCut has been our tool, but if you've edited in Premiere, DaVinci, or Edits, you'll pick it up fast. Show us something you've cut.
  • You're detail-oriented: captions spelled right, audio levels consistent, thumbnails clean.
  • You're reliable and organized. We batch-plan and batch-produce, so hitting the weekly rhythm matters more than any single all-nighter.
  • Bonus points if you know the Pokémon TCG / trading card hobby, or you're excited to learn it. Interest in the community goes a long way here.
  • Bonus points for any experience with Meta Ads Manager or TikTok Ads (again — nice-to-have, not required).

Why This Role Is Worth It

You'll get real of the content that drives a growing startup, direct mentorship from the founder on marketing and growth, a clear system to learn inside of, and a genuine path into paid acquisition. It's a portfolio-builder: everything you make ships publicly to a real, engaged audience.

How to Apply

Send your resume and, most importantly, a few examples of short-form videos you've edited (links are perfect). A quick note on your favorite recent Reel/TikTok and why it works is a great way to stand out.
