Sales & Marketing Coordinator / Community Partnerships Representative

Watts Basketball is seeking a highly motivated Sales & Marketing Coordinator / Community Partnerships Representative to help drive registrations, partnerships, and program growth across our camps, classes, leagues, and community initiatives.

This is not an administrative support position. This is a growth-focused, revenue-generating role for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and making a direct impact on business growth and community engagement. 

Primary Mission

Drive registrations for Watts Basketball programs by developing strategic partnerships, executing community outreach initiatives, expanding brand awareness, and creating enrollment opportunities through schools, sports organizations, and community partners. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic School Partnerships

Develop and manage relationships with:

  • Public schools
  • Private schools
  • Athletic Directors
  • PE Teachers
  • School Administrators
  • After-school programs

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying key decision-makers
  • Presenting partnership opportunities
  • Creating registration pipelines
  • Coordinating promotional campaigns
  • Establishing long-term community relationships 

Youth Sports & Community Partnerships

Build relationships with:

  • Youth sports leagues
  • Basketball organizations
  • Community athletic programs
  • Church and faith-based groups
  • Family-focused non-profit organizations

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing referral partnerships
  • Organizing community activations
  • Building local ambassador networks
  • Generating new registration opportunities

Recreation & Facility Partnerships

Expand partnerships with:

  • Community centers
  • Recreation departments
  • YMCA locations
  • Parks and Recreation programs
  • Other family-focused recreational organizations

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating co-branded program opportunities
  • Securing event participation opportunities
  • Developing registration channels
  • Increasing program visibility within local communities 

Marketing & Growth Initiatives

Support and execute marketing strategies including:

  • Community outreach campaigns
  • Social media support and promotions
  • School fundraising partnerships
  • Event marketing
  • Lead generation campaigns
  • The Watts Basketball 40-40 Community Impact Campaign

The goal is to increase registrations while strengthening the organization's impact, visibility, and community relationships. 

Compensation Structure

Base Compensation

  • Full-Time Position
  • 40 Hours Per Week
  • Hourly Wage: $21.50/hour
  • Weekly Base Pay: $860

Sales Performance Commission

The compensation plan is designed to reward high-performing team members who consistently drive registrations and revenue growth.

Commission Eligibility

To qualify for commission payouts, team members must achieve:

Minimum Goal: 10 Program Registrations Per Week

Once the weekly minimum is achieved:

  • Earn 10% commission on generated registration revenue
  • Commission paid weekly or bi-monthly 

Performance Accelerator Bonus

In addition to regular commission earnings, high-performing team members are eligible for six-week performance bonuses.

Tier 1 Performance

15 Registrations Per Week Average

  • Standard 10% commission paid during the six weeks
  • Additional 5% performance bonus paid at week six
  • Total effective commission: 15%

Example:

  • 90 registrations over six weeks
  • $27,000 revenue generated
  • 15% commission value = $4,050
  • 10% commission already paid = $2,700
  • Six-week bonus payout = $1,350

Tier 2 Performance

20 Registrations Per Week Average

  • Standard 10% commission paid during the six-week period
  • Additional 10% performance bonus paid at week six
  • Total effective commission: 20%

Example:

  • 120 registrations over six weeks
  • $36,000 revenue generated
  • 20% commission value = $7,200
  • 10% commission already paid = $3,600
  • Six-week bonus payout = $3,600
