An Architectural Intern position will be assisting on all aspects of architectural design, from presentations for clients, to working with the construction team.
Responsibilities will include assisting a Project Architect with the following:
- Development of design concepts including three-dimensional modeling in consultation with project Lead Designer.
- Creation of presentation graphics.
- Team collaboration on design solutions.
- Development of construction documents.
- Coordination of drawings with all engineering disciplines.
- Research of local code requirements.
- Assisting with construction administration including RFP responses and supplemental drawing development.
CSO will provide:
- Exposure to the practice of Architecture, by teaching and mentoring the intern through a variety of work-related tasks following IDP categories.
- In-house instructional programs and exposure to a variety of projects in different phases of development.
- Basic understanding of how an office practices architecture, office organization, work production, communications, presentations, and the construction process.
Requirements:
- College students — currently enrolled and completed at least one year.
- Working toward Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
- Strong conceptual, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong user of Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
