Junior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Electrical (M&E)

Location: Basildon (Head Office)
Project Locations: Central London and the South of England

We are seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Commercial Team based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within the construction and building services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the commercial management of M&E projects from pre-construction through to final account.
• Supporting the preparation, submission, and agreement of valuations and applications for payment.
• Assisting with subcontractor procurement, payment assessments, and account management.
• Monitoring project costs and assisting with cost reporting.
• Supporting the preparation and negotiation of variations and change orders.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation.
• Assisting with contract administration and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Liaising with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Degree or studying towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication and organisational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
