Position Overview
The Ursuline School seeks a dynamic, collaborative, and student-centered music educator to serve as Choral, General Music & Woodwinds Teacher. This full-time faculty position offers the opportunity to inspire students through choral performance, general music instruction, woodwind education, and theatrical productions while contributing to a vibrant Performing Arts Department.
The successful candidate will foster musical excellence through engaging classroom instruction, ensemble performance, and individualized instruction while cultivating students' creativity, confidence, and appreciation for the performing arts. Depending upon experience and qualifications, this position may also include leadership responsibilities as Chairperson of the Performing Arts Department.

Start Date: 9/1/2026
Position: Full-time; Middle/High School (6 - 12)
Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 commensurate with background and experience
Responsibilities:
- Teach Middle and Upper School Chorus.
- Teach General Music courses for students in Grades 6–12.
- Provide beginning and intermediate instruction in woodwind instruments through individual and/or small-group instruction.
- Prepare students for concerts, liturgies, assemblies, and other school performances.
- Serve as Music Director for the Fall Play and/or Spring Musical.
- Collaborate closely with fellow performing arts faculty to develop a comprehensive, student-centered music program.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic growth, creativity, and student leadership.
- Participate actively in concerts, admissions programs, school events, and community performances.
- Depending upon experience and qualifications, provide leadership as Performing Arts Department Chair, including curriculum development, departmental collaboration, and program planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience teaching middle and/or high school chorus and general music.
- Experience providing woodwind instruction preferred.
- Experience serving as Music Director for theatrical productions preferred.
- Strong piano accompaniment skills preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire students with diverse musical backgrounds and abilities.
- Commitment to educating the whole person within a Catholic, college preparatory environment.
