Tax Intern - Spring 2027

We are currently seeking service-oriented and self-motivated individuals for our Tax Intern position.
Our tax internship program offers students a tremendous insight into our firm, its culture, and the accounting industry. Interns gain firsthand experience in public accounting during a busy tax season, while also integrating this experience with their formal education.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain a basic understanding of trial balance, general ledger, tax preparation, depreciation, and amortization software
- Calculate and prepare fixed asset depreciation schedules on different book and tax bases
- Enter the client’s working trial balance into the correct software and make the necessary adjustments
- Manage engagements wisely, including consideration of budget constraints, and maintain an accurate work-in-progress schedule of assigned tasks
- Cope with the demanding multitasking nature of public accounting
- Prepare and review tax filings, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns
- Practice basic preparation skills for federal and state tax returns
- Completing research and special projects as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or another related field of study
- Candidates must be a rising junior or senior and have completed at least intermediate 1
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong communication skills, time management skills, and precise attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate thoughtful interpersonal engagement (presenting a professional demeanor and appearance, cooperative attitude, engaging collaboratively, and showing dedication to superior customer service)
- Availability to work at least 3 days per week in our office located in Baltimore (firm-provided parking)
- Paid Internship: $30.00/hr
