Wellness Marketing and Programming Assistant (FWS only)
The primary role of the Office of Student Wellness and Well-being will be assisting the office with social media, website content, and programming on wellness topics. This will include digital/technical marketing as well as in-person marketing and tabling. Further, social media marketing and design work for promotional materials for students will be required. Additionally, the ambassadors will help plan and participate in wellness events on campus on a variety of topics.
Job Duties
- Paid $15.00 per hour
- Ability to work 12 to 15 hours per week
- Work directly with the Director or staff on the plan for the semester
- Create events and tabling on student wellness topics
- Help research and create social media posts and website content on wellness topics
- Assist with administrative duties in the OSWW Office
- Help supervise volunteers in the office
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
- General knowledge of campus resources.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Enjoys being creative and imaginative.
- Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Ability to use human relations skills to interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and to exhibit a positive, helpful attitude.
General Expectations:
- Must have Federal Work Study (FWS)
- Must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA and be enrolled in 12 credit hours (full-time student) for semester of employment (excluding summer term). The only exception will be for final-semester seniors.
- Maintain satisfactory work performance; staff receiving warnings will be eligible to return pending satisfactory performance evaluations.
- Not be found in significant or repeated violations of the College of Charleston Student Honor System.
- Attends any staff training and scheduled staff meetings.
- Demonstrates a sense of dependability regarding work hours and completion of assignments/tasks.
- Appropriate dress and behavior within the executive suite of the Stern Student Center.
- Willingness to learn as well as flexibility and adaptability to ever-changing situations.
