Event Technician
The City of New Smyrna Beach Leisure Services Department is seeking a Part Time Event Technician to assist at the Sports Complex.
Hourly Rate: $19.3902
Working Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends. Shift times may vary.
Candidate must pass a level II background, physical and drug screen.
About the Job
The PT Event Technician performs event preparation, set-up, breakdown, and maintenance; and provides customer service for internally and externally organized City tournaments, games, leagues, and events.
What We're Looking For
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related experience either paid or volunteer in leisure services, recreation, hospitality, or special events; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified in Crowd Management or ability to obtain certification within ninety (90) days of hire.
- Valid Florida driver's license.
- CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
