Wayne County is accepting applications for County Caseworker 1 and County Caseworker 2 positions within Children & Youth Services (CYS) and Behavioral Health/Intellectual Disabilities (BH/ID).
County Caseworkers provide professional case management services to children, families, and individuals by assessing needs, developing service plans, coordinating community resources, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate case records. Employees work closely with clients, service providers, schools, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to promote safety, independence, and positive outcomes.
County Caseworker 1 is the entry-level classification where employees receive training while developing professional casework skills. County Caseworker 2 performs full-performance casework with greater independence and responsibility in managing more complex cases.
