SEMT Research Assistant
The Gould Center for Sports, Entertainment, Media & Technology Law is looking to hire a law student with career aspirations in one or more of the Center’s concentrations for the 2026-27 academic year to help with various projects and initiatives, approx. 10 to 12 hours a week. The student will play a key role in helping the Center operate and conduct business.
Responsibilities:
- Help organize and stage academic events within the Center’s areas of expertise, such as conferences, symposia, speaker series, roundtables, and other similar events.
- Support the Center’s communications efforts, including drafting social media posts for the Center account, and designing publicity materials.
- Support the Event Coordinator with her duties as needed and requested.
- Maintain and organize digital files and databases.
- Provide on-site event support.
- Conduct research and compile information about similar academic centers/concentrations at other law schools.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a current 2L or 3L.
- Must be eligible for Federal work study.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and interface with professionals outside of the Law Center.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous administrative, office, or event support experience desired.
