People & Culture Associate

Role Overview: We're looking for a motivated People & Culture (P&C) professional to join our team and help shape the employee experience at a fast-growing, early-stage company. In this role, you'll support the full spectrum of HR functions while gaining exposure to what it takes to build people operations from the ground up in a startup environment. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to grow their HR expertise, work closely with leadership, and make a real impact on company culture as we scale. This is currently an unpaid opportunity. 

What You'll Do

  • Calling and screening candidates for all technical and non-technical roles
  • Own hiring and onboarding processes from start to finish, refining them as we grow
  • Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives from the ground up
  • Build and maintain P&C documentation and compliance systems
  • Research P&C best practices and bring recommendations directly to leadership
  • Partner with leadership on people-first strategy as a true collaborator, not just support staff
  • Build and maintain P&C documentation and compliance systems, including supporting international hires with visa/work authorization processes (CPT, OPT, etc.)

What We're Looking For

  • Current student or recent graduate in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • You're energized by figuring things out, not paralyzed by it
  • Genuine interest in Human Resources, Human Capital, and workplace culture
  • Able to work independently in a remote, fast-moving environment
  • Familiarity with U.S. work authorization processes (CPT, OPT, visa sponsorship basics) is a plus
