Growth And Sales Intern

Job description

Job Title: Growth and Sales Intern (Summer Remote Internship, UK based)

About the role

You'll be working directly with two ex-strategy consultants at an early-stage startup, on a fully remote and flexible basis. We build dynamic pricing software for independent hotels, so your job is to get us in front of hotel owners and managers: spark their interest on the phone and book demos for the team.

This is a real-responsibility role from week one, not shadowing or busywork. You'll be the first voice a prospective client hears, and the meetings you book directly drive the growth of the business.

What you'll do

  • Make outbound calls to independent hotels to introduce Otterly and book demos
  • Follow up with prospects by phone and email until you get a yes or a no
  • Help research and build target lists of hotels worth reaching out to
  • Help us improve our AI-native tooling based on call feedback
  • Build our GTM strategy based on call feedback and what is working 
  • Get stuck in everywhere else a young startup needs it: research, outreach experiments, marketing, and more

Who we're looking for

  • Studying at a top-tier university
  • Confident and personable on the phone: you don't mind picking it up and starting a conversation with a stranger
  • Resilient: you can take a "no", learn from it, and dial the next one
  • A sharp communicator who listens well, thinks on their feet, and writes well
  • Interested in a career in sales, commercial strategy, or startups
  • Self-starting and reliable: you can take a target and run with it

The details

  • Location: Fully remote
  • Commitment: Up to 10 hours a week

  • Pay: UK national minimum wage plus variable commission element
