About Cairn Counseling
Our Mission
We at Cairn Counseling believe that everyone deserves to experience effective and affirming therapy. Using eclectic therapy techniques, our skillful and compassionate therapists walk with clients through the hardships of their lives. All individuals are welcome. Here at Cairn Counseling, all clinicians believe in the importance of supporting the queer and trans community. Many of us are members of the community and we work hard to help lift our queer and trans siblings up through effective, highly trained, and supportive mental health care. From Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to Play Therapy, we offer a range of therapeutic approaches to help our clients along on their healing journey.
Our Values in Action
We believe mental health care should be accessible, affirming, and responsive to the needs of our community. We intentionally work to reduce financial barriers by accepting most major insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, and maintaining a sliding scale program.
Cairn has a strong commitment to trauma-informed care and supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, and families. We strive to provide care that is inclusive, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices.
We also value the unique strengths each clinician brings to the practice and actively support therapists in developing specialty populations, treatment approaches, and areas of expertise that align with their professional goals. We believe the strongest clinical teams are united by shared values while bringing diverse perspectives, interests, and passions to their work.
