Locations:
- We serve clients across multiple counties in the state of Oregon, which continues to expand based on the number of individuals served.
DSP Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized support to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities both at home and in the community.
- Follow specialized client-driven behavior support plans
- Assist with daily living skills such as meal prep, hygiene, medication administration, and transportation.
- Support behavior and health plans as directed by clinical teams.
- Document care, behavior observations, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergencies and implement safety protocols when needed.
- Advocate for client choice, autonomy, and community involvement.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to service planning.
- Promote independence, quality of life, and empowerment of those we serve.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a DSP or similar caregiving role.
- OIS (Oregon Intervention System) Training – Required (we can certify)
- Evening and weekend availability – Required
- Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Clear background check and compliance with state licensing standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex medical or behavioral needs.
- Leadership potential or prior experience in a supervisory or mentor role.
- Familiarity with person-centered planning, trauma-informed care, or positive behavior support.
