Head of Operations & Growth

Sweetfeet is looking for our Head of Operations & Growth to own the end-to-end execution of collection releases and to build the channels that will define the business’s next phase of growth. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who wants to build a company — not simply work at one. Sweetfeet will be New York’s leading performance sock company and lifestyle brand, we are seeking an experienced, high level operator to join our growing team. We are on a relentless pursuit to become the top performance sock company in the world, trailblazing amongst titans of the athletic apparel industry.

Role Responsibilities

Collection Releases & Timeline Ownership

• Own every collection/drop end-to-end — from production timeline and sample approval through inventory receipt, site launch, and post-drop fulfillment — ensuring nothing slips.

• Build and maintain the master drop calendar, working backward from launch date to set firm deadlines for production, photography/content, site setup, and marketing readiness.

• Proactively flag risks to a drop’s timeline (vendor delays, QC issues, site/inventory readiness) early enough for leadership to make trade-off decisions, not after the fact.

• Coordinate across manufacturing, content, and marketing so that every function is synced to the same launch date and nothing launches half-ready.

• Conduct post-drop reviews to capture what worked, what slipped, and what should change for the next release.

Operations & Fulfillment

• Manage inventory planning and allocation across DTC and wholesale channels, ensuring adequate stock for drop launches without overcommitting working capital.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Sweetfeet’s supply chain and manufacturing partners, managing production timelines, quality control, and import/logistics coordination.

• Own day-to-day fulfillment operations, including order processing, shipping timelines, and customer experience from purchase to delivery.

• Maintain and improve Shopify storefront operations — collection setup, inventory sync, and site readiness ahead of each drop.

Wholesale & Retail Channel Growth

• Identify, evaluate, and help execute opportunities for Sweetfeet to enter physical retail — including independent boutiques, specialty running/athletic stores, and larger retail partnerships where applicable.

• Expand and deepen wholesale relationships, including identifying new accounts, negotiating terms, and scaling existing partnerships into larger or repeatable revenue streams.

• Ensure that as new channels are added, the operational backbone (inventory, fulfillment, vendor relationships) can scale to support that growth without compromising existing DTC and wholesale performance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Partner with the founder/CEO and content team to align operational capacity with drop calendars, marketing campaigns, and brand initiatives.

• Coordinate with finance/accounting on inventory cost tracking, vendor payments, and margin reporting.

• Support hiring and onboarding as the team scales, helping build out operational processes and documentation.

Reporting & Performance

• Track and report on key operational KPIs — fulfillment SLAs, inventory turn, gross margin, and channel performance — to inform leadership decisions.

• Bring data-backed recommendations to leadership on where to invest in growth, where to cut costs, and how to improve operational efficiency.

This is a build-and-operate role: the expectation is not just to maintain what exists, but to actively expand where and how Sweetfeet sells.
