The show breaks down industry silos by translating complex topics into digestible, human-first conversations, bridging seasoned professionals and rising voices in a space where thought leadership meets real talk — not just about technology and AI, but about the people, policies, processes, and principles shaping the built world today.

About the Role

This internship has two sides: a core branding, marketing, and communications track, plus a sales track focused on identifying and helping close Founder Series sponsors for CRE Unplugged our recurring interview series spotlighting founders and operators at the intersection of real estate and innovation.

The ideal output is creative work that ships, paired with a real opportunity to earn commission on the sponsorships you help bring in.

Core Responsibilities: Branding, Marketing & Communications

  • Create and schedule social media content across LinkedIn and Instagram, with occasional support for YouTube and YouTube Shorts.
  • Edit short-form video for episode promos, clips, and reels using CapCut, Premiere, or comparable tools.
  • Write copy for captions, episode descriptions, outreach messages, and other communications — clear and professional without being overly corporate.
  • Design basic graphics in Canva (Adobe experience a plus) to support episode rollouts, sponsorship materials, and event promotion.
  • Support podcast production, including light audio/video tasks tied to episode releases.

Sales Responsibilities: Founder Series

  • Research and identify potential guests and sponsors who fit the Founder Series profile primarily founders and operators in PropTech, ConTech, FinTech, and ClimateTech.
  • Build and maintain a prospect list with relevant contact info, company background, and a short note on fit.
  • Draft initial outreach for review, with the goal of moving qualified prospects into a pitch conversation.
  • Support follow-up and pipeline tracking so nothing falls through the cracks.

Commission Structure

For each Founder Series sponsor you source and help close, you'll earn a commission. The exact percentage and payout terms will be confirmed in writing before you start, and will be tied to sponsors who sign as a direct result of your sourcing or outreach work. We'll walk through the specifics together to make sure the structure is clear and fair for both sides.

What We're Looking For

  • Comfortable writing and creating content in a professional voice — someone who can sound polished without sounding stiff.
  • Working knowledge of Canva and short-form video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere, or similar); Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
  • Organized and self-directed. Able to manage a prospect list and outreach cadence without hand-holding.
  • Genuine interest in real estate, PropTech, or startups; no industry experience required, but curiosity is a must.
  • Comfortable doing outbound research and cold outreach drafting.
