Are you passionate about education, community impact, and building meaningful partnerships? Breakthrough Miami is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA and help expand the organization’s corporate engagement strategy. Through this impactful year of service, you will build sustainable systems that strengthen Breakthrough Miami’s corporate partnerships, increase philanthropic support, and create career exploration opportunities for students. 

Service Opportunity 

The Corporate Partnerships & Engagement VISTA will focus on building the long-term capacity of Breakthrough Miami’s corporate relations program, developing systems, tools, and strategies that enable the organization to strengthen partnerships, increase corporate investment, and expand career readiness experiences for Scholars and alumni. 

Build Corporate Partnership Infrastructure & Support Growth of Partner Network 

  • Assess current corporate partnerships and strategies, and identify opportunities for increased engagement and investment
  • Develop a structured corporate engagement framework, including donor portfolio
  • Create sponsorship packages and partnership materials
  • Design stewardship plans and recognition strategies
  • Develop recommendations for long-term partnership growth
  • Compile tools, workflows, and resources into a sustainable Corporate Relations Toolkit, including systems to track corporate interactions and engagement

Strengthen Relationship Management  

  • Create and utilize corporate outreach and stewardship templates 
  • Assist with corporate outreach and cultivation efforts, support communication and relationship-building with corporate partners 
  • Ensure effective outreach and engagement with a portfolio of corporate partners leading towards increased investment and programmatic impact 
  • Create impact reports and partner updates 

Facilitator Support 

  • Serves as the main point of contact for regional facilitators, maintaining consistent communication and coordination
  • Coordinates facilitator schedules, communications, and logistics
  • Supports facilitator onboarding using materials and guidance developed with the Chief Strategy Officer
  • Escalates challenges and seeks guidance from the Chief Strategy Officer as needed

Expand Career Exposure Opportunities  

  • Identify opportunities for mentoring, career panels, company visits, and internships
  • Support planning and coordination of events such as Career Day and Mock Interview Day
  • Collaborate with program staff and corporate volunteers to create meaningful experiences for Scholars and alumni

Desired Qualifications   

  • Passionate about educational equity and community impact 
  • Strong communicator with excellent writing skills 
  • Organized and detail-oriented 
  • Comfortable building relationships with diverse stakeholders 
  • Self-motivated and collaborative 
  • Interested in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, marketing, or corporate partnerships 
  • Experience with communications, fundraising, business, public speaking, or nonprofit management is helpful but not required.
