Child Care Teacher Assistant PRN – Charlotte, NC
Schedule: As needed PRN schedule
Monday through Friday - availability required between 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

- NC DHHS Division of Child Development Criminal Background Letter/Qualifying Letter
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily classroom activities and routines.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Support the center’s goals, guidelines, and standards of excellence.
Education: High School or GED, required. Credentials EDU 119 or equivalency as defined by DHHS Education Workforce, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- NC CDL License, preferred.
- Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required.
- ITS SIDS within 2 months of hire, required.
- BSAC (Basic School Age) for those working with school age children, required.
- DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background letter, required.
Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
- NC Division of Child Development Qualifying Letter/Criminal Background letter
- NC Division of Child Development Workforce letter within 2 months of hire
- NC Institute for Child Development Professional ECE Certification within 2 months of hire
- CDL license (if hired for driving buses) and working with school age children.
- Maintain training hours requirements as outlined by the Division of Child Development

- The ability to work a variety of work schedules and to work effectively in all classrooms within the centers.
