Board Certified Behavior Analyst

We are seeking a rigorous, data-driven Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Clinical Lead to anchor the behavioral health ecosystem of our specialized 2026–2029 pilot programs. 

Moving beyond traditional consultative or paper-only behavioral tracking, you will act as a key collaborator inside a real-time clinical triad alongside Special Education Teachers and School Social Workers.

Your mission will be to dismantle behavioral noise, conduct highly accurate descriptive and experimental functional analyses, and engineer adaptive, positive-first learning environments that stabilize students in crisis and rapidly accelerate their transition into less restrictive paths.

Operation Track

System Expectation and Reporting Standard

Caseload Fidelity - Governed under strict PA Chapter 14 maximum parameters capping full-time loads at an 8-to-1 or 12-to-1 baseline depending on classroom designation.

Digital Ecosystem - Continuous tracking integration within district-managed infrastructure including Infinite Campus, EasyIEP progress logs, and automated CentralReach/Rethink platforms.

Payer Synergy - Active data provisioning (such as compiled ABC data sheets) to private carriers and Community Behavioral Health (CBH) to establish medical necessity for supplementary care.

Core Responsibilities

FBA Verification and Refresh - You will audit and update comprehensive Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) within the first 10 days of a high-acuity student's enrollment to isolate escape, attention, tangible, or sensory functions .

PBSP Engine Optimization - You will design, deploy, and refine individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) emphasizing zero-arousal antecedent strategies, token economy values, and non-punitive extinction methods .

Staff Supervision and Oversight - You will deliver mandated 1:10 direct supervision to therapeutic behavioral technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), guaranteeing a minimum of 5% face-to-face clinical tracking evaluation.

Fidelity Loop Walkthroughs - You will perform live, in-situ coaching and weekly treatment integrity sweeps to verify instructional personnel utilizing pre-correction scripts and prompting schedules correctly.

Acuity Monitoring and Analytics - You will harness mobile data collection to populate 30-day quantitative behavioral heatmaps, identifying high-trigger operational segments to preemptively adjust clinical float arrays.

Disciplinary Safe-Guarding - You will coordinate directly with the district LEA during critical Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDR) and provide expert data testimony during high-stakes placement updates.

Parent Capacity Building - You will lead quarterly parent university workshops focused on helping family networks generalize school-day replacement communication skills to the home setting.

Position Qualifications

Primary Designation - Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

State Credentialing - Must possess a valid, active Behavior Specialist License issued by the Pennsylvania Department of State.

Technical Tool Competency - Must have a proven mastery leveraging verbal behavior assessment milestones (such as the VB-MAPP or ABLLS-R/AFLS framework scales).

De-escalation Certification - Advanced instructor or specialist certification in research-validated trauma-informed crisis response procedures (specifically Safety-Care or equivalent district-wide options).

Instructional Sophistication - Deep pedagogical insight is required to weave behavioral reinforcement targets into standard-aligned materials like Illustrative Math or EL Education without eroding academic rigor.

Mandatory Security and Compliance Filters

In accordance with Act 153 and the safety mandates of our contracted regional infrastructure, no staff member may achieve system clearance or directly interact with exceptional students until a 100% clear background screening matrix is cataloged:

  • Act 114 - Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal History Check submitted through the PDE IdentoGO portal using localized school codes.
  • Act 34 - Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (PATCH portal verification clearance).
  • Act 151 - Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance yielded via the ChildLine portal.
  • Act 168 - Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Form releases successfully verified from all historical educational employers.
  • Act 126 - Certified completion of the Mandated Child Abuse Recognition and Childline Reporting Training course sequence.
