Stress Analyst

HLA Engineers, Inc. is seeking talented Mechanical and Civil Engineers to join our team in performing advanced stress analysis and design of industrial products and structures

Position: Stress Analyst

Job Type:     Full-time

Schedule:     M–F, 8-hour workday. Employees work remotely on Fridays.

Work Location:    8617 Ambassador Row, Suite 100, Dallas, TX 75247.

 

REQD QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or civil Engineering and two years’ experience (or master’s degree) with Finite Element Analysis programs such as:
  • ANSYS APDL, ANSYS Work Bench, and/or Staad and LS-Dyna 
  • Performing linear, non-linear, fatigue, weld, static, dynamic, buckling, modal and harmonic analyses. 
  • One years’ experience required using the CAD programs.
    • Inventor and/or 
    • SolidWorks. 
    • Experience with rail cars and pressure vessels is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and supporting documentation for engineering projects.
  • Perform stress analysis and design of industrial products, equipment, and structures.
  • Execute complex structural and mechanical engineering projects from concept through final analysis.
  • Conduct advanced engineering evaluations involving static, dynamic, thermal, fatigue, and nonlinear analysis.
  • Develop finite element models and interpret analytical results to support design recommendations and solutions.
  • Work with a broad range of materials, including metals, composites, plastics, and elastomers.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to develop practical, innovative, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Contribute to a variety of challenging projects across multiple industries, applying sound engineering principles and best practices.

ABILITY TO COMMUTE / RELOCATE:

  • Dallas, TX 75247 :  Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

  • Bachelor's / Master’s - mechanical or civil engineering
