FWS - Interior Design & Fashion Department Office Assistant
Purpose
This role is to offer support for the general office duties for the Department of Interior Design and the Department of Fashion Design + Merchandising to provide coverage and assistance to the department's staff.
Description
The Department of Interior Design and the Department of Fashion Design + Merchandising require office assistance to support the staff of the departments during normal business hours.
Duties and responsibilities
The hire will be expected to:
- attend to the office
- professionally answer walk-in and phone queries
- assist faculty with copies and prints
- assist department with upkeep of facilities
- assist with fashion department sales
- assist with special projects related to data entry and research
Hours/week
Work hours per week: approximately 6-10 hours weekly
Days/times per week (Time we are looking to fill with multiple hires) are flexible to students schedule and department schedule

The candidate must be:
- Flexible
- Interested in learning and experimenting
- Motivated, courteous and enthusiastic
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work unsupervised
- Able to maintain professionalism at all times during working hours
- Skilled in verbal and written communication
- Respect confidentiality of any sensitive information handled as a part of job duties.
- Maintain an active working knowledge of the Interior Design Department’s mission, goals, academic curriculum, student programs and campus life.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, etc)
Preferred Qualification
Existing student within the School of the Arts (Interior Design and Fashion Design + Merchandising)
