Social Media Writer – Travel + Social Action Content
Remote | 5–10 Hours Per Week
CATALYST PLANET is a next-generation travel and media platform focused on sustainable travel, global culture, adventure, and social impact. We create content for Gen Z audiences who care deeply about the world — from climate and human rights to cultural understanding and conscious exploration.
We are looking for a highly engaged, culturally aware, and social-media-fluent writer to help shape the voice of our brand across platforms.
Role Overview
The Social Media Writer will write social media content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, and LinkedIn. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply immersed in internet culture, global issues, travel, and storytelling — and who understands how to communicate in a way that feels authentic, sharp, and engaging to younger audiences.
We are looking for someone with ideas, opinions, curiosity about the world, and a strong editorial voice.
Responsibilities
- Write social media posts for multiple platforms
- Adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and platforms
- Stay current on global news, travel trends, activism, culture, and Gen Z conversations
- Help shape and evolve the voice of the CATALYST PLANET brand
- Collaborate with editorial, social media, and leadership teams
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and strong attention to detail in all writing
Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Deep familiarity with social media platforms and internet culture
- Passion for travel, global issues, sustainability, culture, and social action
- Strong understanding of Gen Z and Millennial sensibilities
- Prior writing, journalism, social media, or editorial experience preferred
