Communications Coordinator

Job Summary

The Communications Coordinator supports the development and delivery of clear and consistent messaging across internal and external channels for a community focused nonprofit organization. This role helps manage donor communications, community updates, program announcements, and marketing materials that promote awareness of grants, scholarships, and local impact initiatives. The position requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple communication projects while maintaining brand consistency and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities

• Draft and edit newsletters, announcements, and program updates for donors and community stakeholders
• Assist in managing website content updates and ensuring information accuracy across pages
• Support the creation of communication materials for grants, scholarships, and fundraising campaigns
• Coordinate scheduling and posting of content across email and social media platforms
• Maintain consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels
• Work with internal teams to gather information for program highlights and impact stories
• Respond to basic inquiries from community members and donors through written communication channels
• Organize and maintain communication archives, templates, and media resources

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in communications, marketing, or administrative support role preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Basic understanding of digital communication tools and content management systems
