Intake Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for clients, patients, or customers. The Intake Specialist is responsible for gathering essential information, assessing needs, entering data accurately into systems, and directing individuals to the appropriate services or departments. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for clients, patients, or customers via phone, email, or online systems.
- Collect and verify personal, medical, legal, or service-related information.
- Enter and maintain accurate records in databases, electronic health records (EHR), or CRM systems.
- Screen incoming requests and determine appropriate next steps or service eligibility.
- Schedule appointments, consultations, or case evaluations as needed.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding intake procedures, documentation, and next steps.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all intake requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred (varies by industry).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive or confidential information professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Experience with EHR, CRM, or case management software is a plus.
