Baker's Assistant for Commercial Production
Mickey's Pastry Shop is an 80-year-old family run scratch bakery in Eastern NC. The first 3rd generation Certified Master Baker in the USA leads the production team for both retail and wholesale production. Seeking a qualified individual that has 2+ years commercial baking experience. We will be producing and handling 200 lbs. raw yeast raised dough from scratch daily. Items produced will be fried, baked, finished, wrapped and labeled for 10 wholesale routes. Cake and cookie production run simultaneously, all using commercial equipment. This position requires heavy lifting (50 lbs.), standing for long periods of time, operating and sanitizing commercial bakery equipment daily. Knowledge of scaling, mixing, proofing, baking and frying are preferred. Typical days run 6:30-2:30 depending on production. 40 hours/week, 5 days/week
