Procurement Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing and supplier management across residential construction and remodeling projects. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely procurement to support smooth project execution and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, supplies, and services.
- Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Coordinate with project managers and field teams to align procurement with project timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate material needs based on project schedules.
- Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, budgets, and quality standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize purchasing processes.
- Resolve supply chain issues, delays, or discrepancies as they arise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 5–8+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Experience in construction, remodeling, or related industries strongly preferred.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with procurement, ERP, or project management systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in residential construction procurement or materials management.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and job site material requirements.
- Strong understanding of budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to build and maintain strong supplier networks.
