Marché Bleu is a specialty café, market, and wine bar nestled in The Shops at Clearfork. We're a close-knit team that takes pride in genuine hospitality, beautiful food and drink, and creating a space our guests love to return to. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Shift Lead who's ready to help lead the floor with confidence, consistency, and care.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Shift Lead is the go-to person on the floor during their shift — setting the tone for the team, keeping operations running smoothly, and making sure every guest has an exceptional experience. This is a leadership role that calls for professionalism, maturity, and a coaching mentality: someone who can hold standards, develop teammates, and represent Marché Bleu well in every interaction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Open or close the shop, following all checklists and cash-handling procedures
• Lead and support baristas and cashiers throughout the shift, stepping in wherever needed
• Ensure drinks, food, and service meet Marché Bleu's quality standards
• Delegate tasks, manage breaks, and keep the shift running on schedule
• Handle guest questions or concerns with warmth and professionalism, escalating to the AGM/GM when needed
• Monitor stock levels and communicate reorder needs
• Complete shift pass-off reports and communicate clearly with the next shift
• Uphold dress code, conduct, and attendance standards, and model them for the team
• Support a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, bar, or retail environment (barista or bar experience a plus)
• A natural leader who leads by example, not just by title — professionalism and maturity matter here
• A coaching mentality: someone who builds people up and holds standards with warmth
• Strong communication skills and a calm, solutions-first attitude under pressure
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable holding both yourself and others accountable
• Available for nights and weekends; this role requires flexibility across a 30-35 hour week
• Must be 18 or older; TABC and Food Handlers certifications not required at hire but must be obtained within 90 days
