Google Ads Specialist - Healthcare

Flowterra Labs is looking for an experienced freelance Google Ads specialist to support healthcare advertising accounts.

This role is best suited to someone who has deep hands-on experience managing Google Ads for healthcare, medical practices, local lead generation, or other high-trust service businesses where lead quality matters more than lead volume.

Your role will be focused on Google Ads account strategy, optimisation, campaign structure, keyword management, search term analysis, conversion quality, and performance improvement.

This is a freelance contracter role.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Auditing existing Google Ads account structure, campaign setup, keywords, match types, search terms, bidding, budgets, and conversion tracking.
  • Improving campaign structure for healthcare lead generation.
  • Managing and optimising search campaigns for specialist surgeon accounts.
  • Reviewing search term reports and identifying wasted spend, irrelevant intent, and negative keyword opportunities.
  • Improving lead quality, not just reducing cost per lead.
  • Advising on keyword strategy, ad copy, landing page alignment, and conversion intent.
  • Reviewing campaign performance and explaining what is working, what is not, and what should be changed.
  • Working with GA4, Google Tag Manager, CallRail or similar call tracking platforms where needed.
  • Helping troubleshoot tracking discrepancies between Google Ads, GA4, call tracking, and form submissions.
  • Providing clear weekly or fortnightly notes on key changes, results, concerns, and next steps.
  • Flagging when performance issues are caused by landing pages, tracking, offer positioning, search intent, or client-side lead handling rather than the ad account alone.

Required Experience

You should have:

  • At least 4–5+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience.
  • Strong experience managing Google Search campaigns for lead generation.
  • Direct experience with healthcare, medical, dental, specialist clinics, surgeons, or other compliance-sensitive service industries.
  • A strong understanding of local search intent and high-value patient/customer acquisition.
  • Experience working with accounts where lead quality matters more than raw lead volume.
  • Strong knowledge of keyword strategy, match types, negative keyword management, ad copy testing, bidding strategies, and conversion optimisation.
  • Experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience interpreting call tracking and form submission data.
