Translator

A Translator is responsible for translating written documents and content from a source language into a target language while maintaining accuracy, cultural relevance, and consistency. This role requires excellent language proficiency, strong writing skills, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality translations that meet client or organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate written documents, reports, emails, websites, and other materials between designated languages.
  • Ensure translations accurately convey the original meaning, tone, and intent.
  • Proofread and edit translated content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency.
  • Research industry-specific terminology to ensure accurate translations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
  • Collaborate with editors, project managers, and clients to clarify translation requirements.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field preferred.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in the source and target languages.
  • Previous professional translation experience is preferred.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and writing skills in both languages.
  • Familiarity with translation tools and computer applications.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
