The mission of AmeriCorps NCCC is to strengthen communities and develop leaders through team-based national and community service.
Here is what you can expect during your service:
- Serve full-time for 11 months
- Lead a team of 8-10 young adults
- Work closely with FEMA professionals in the sector of emergency management
- Deploy to 4-6 projects across the country (transportation provided)

Member Duties : You will lead a team through administrative service in the areas of disaster response and recovery activities. Your team could be conducting data entry, mapping disaster evacuation routes, or helping sign up survivors for assistance, so adaptability is key! As a Team Leader, you will be crucial to your team’s success. You’ll be responsible for directing, motivating, and mentoring a diverse team of young people. FEMA and NCCC staff will look to you for coordination of project logistics. Gain invaluable supervisory experience, challenge yourself, gain skills in emergency management.
