Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate

The Center for Translational Exposomics Research at the University of Southern California is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate to join a dynamic and multidisciplinary team in the Division of Environmental Health. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative research at the forefront of environmental health science.

Our team focuses on understanding the impact of environmental exposures—particularly PFAS—on health across the lifespan, using a combination of human and experimental data, multiomics, and advanced statistical methods. A successful candidate will help lead analyses of high-dimensional data, contribute to the development of novel methods, and advance knowledge that can shape public health policies and interventions. 

Key Responsibilities: 
• Conduct independent statistical analyses of large-scale population and omics datasets 
• Develop and apply advanced programming tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS) 
• Mentor graduate students and manage research projects 
• Contribute to publications and collaborative research activities 

Qualifications: 
• Ph.D. (or equivalent) in environmental health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field within the last 5 years 
• Strong programming and data analysis skills (R, SAS, Python) 
• Experience with PFAS-related data, omics integration, or water quality is highly desirable 
• Demonstrated scientific writing and communication abilities 

Details:
• Salary range: $70,000–$80,000
