Extended Learning Academy Program Manager
The ELA Program Manager serves as the head of the Knowledge Quest ELA
representative for Knowledge Quest Extended Learning Academy. This person will be responsible for program implementation fidelity and coordination between program sites. This person is the spokesperson for the program and responsible for recruitment, hiring and orientation of staff. The director ensures the staff has the tools and equipment they need to do their job.
Essential Duties
• Supervise site program implementation, manage quality and systemization
• Evaluates site implementation and effectiveness
• Manage budget, including requisitions and spending
• Manage and coordinate transportation needs
• Complete and maintain any required documentation in regards to
programming
• Develop clear and explicit learning goals that are relayed to youth in well
defined and specific terms
• Collaborate with management on program design
• Collaborate on grant updates
• Manage high level external relationships
• Create, implement and continuously improve orientation materials
• Create, implement and continuously improve program documents
• Managing hiring of staff and employee staff
• Plan recruitment events for enrollment
• Ensures sites are comply with laws, policies, regulations and grant
requirements
• Support programmatic goals and outcomes
Other Duties
• Provide ongoing leadership for the development of the ELA leadership team
• Hosts weekly and or monthly site meetings with staff and in-house agency
partners to ensure operations performance outcomes are achieved and to
troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Support and guide the needs of ELA staff
• Develop efficiencies for this role
• Help coach and brainstorm new creative initiatives while ensuring alignment
with core strategy
Minimum Qualifications
• A Masters degree
• Five years of leadership experience (can be from a combination of
professional, volunteer and/or religious experience) working with youth
populations and coordination education projects from inception to
completion.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suites
• Preferred fields are social work, psychology, education-related fields, or
management.
• Five years of documented work experience post-high school.
Preferred Skills
Strong communication as well as organizational skills are required for this role.
High energy is required to move around the site to effectively manage operations.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently, problem solve, and
function competently and professionally within a framework of conflicting
demands, competing timeframes as well as potential interruptions and distractions.
Be flexible after receiving feedback and direction from the supervisor, then
implement effectively.
