Literacy and Hope Foundation - Reading Intervention Coach
Description:
Literacy and Hope provides free reading intervention to students that are reading below proficiency at three locations to date (Momentum Academy, Mullanphy Elementary School and starting in August we will work with Midtown Community Services). We go into the schools or organizations and assess the students identified for the program, develop a unique curriculum for each student based on assessments and meet with the students one-on-one for 1 hour twice a week. Some students get three days based on their assessment and grade. We work with students in grades K-3rd but will continue with them until they have reached a significantly increased reading proficiency.
