Are you passionate about helping young people? Do you enjoy public speaking, leadership, and working with students? Join Operation Aware of Oklahoma and help equip youth with the knowledge and skills to make positive life choices.
For more than 45 years, Operation Aware has partnered with schools across northeastern Oklahoma to deliver engaging, evidence-informed prevention education that helps students develop decision-making skills, build healthy relationships, and resist substance use.
As a Prevention Educator, you'll travel to local schools to lead interactive classroom presentations that make a lasting impact on students' lives.
What You'll Do
- Present engaging, discussion-based lessons to students in grades 4 through 12.
- Create a positive and welcoming classroom environment.
- Encourage participation through activities, discussion, and real-world examples.
- Represent Operation Aware professionally in partner schools.
- Travel to schools throughout the Tulsa metro area.
- Participate in paid training and ongoing professional development.
What We're Looking For

- Communicate clearly and confidently.
- Are organized, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Can work independently while representing our organization professionally.
No teaching certificate is required. We provide comprehensive paid training before you begin presenting in schools.

Position Details
- Part-time position following the school-year calendar (August through May)
- Typically 3 to 4 weekdays per week during school hours
- Starting pay: $120 per day
- Mileage reimbursement for eligible travel
- Paid training before the school year begins

Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to travel throughout the Tulsa metro area
