As our firm continues to grow, we’re looking for a Financial Planning Associate who enjoys helping people, solving financial challenges, and providing an exceptional client experience. Position Summary 

The Financial Planning Associate supports our advisors and clients throughout every stage of the financial planning process. This role combines financial planning support, client service, account administration, and implementation to help ensure clients receive exceptional advice and service. 

Primary Responsibilities 

Financial Planning 

  • Prepare financial planning analyses and retirement projections. 
  • Gather and organize client financial information. 
  • Prepare planning reports, investment summaries, and meeting materials. 
  • Research planning involving retirement, tax planning, Social Security, insurance, and estate planning. 
  • Assist with income tax preparation. 

Client Service & Account Administration 

  • Prepare new account applications, rollovers, transfers, beneficiary updates, and other account paperwork. 
  • Review account registrations and documentation for accuracy. 
  • Track pending business and follow implementation through completion. 
  • Respond to client service requests by phone, email, and in person. 
  • Prepare meeting agendas, document meeting notes, and coordinate follow-up. 
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and client documentation. 

Team Support 

  • Coordinate with custodians and other professionals. 
  • Assist with client events and educational workshops. 
  • Participate in projects that improve firm operations and the client experience. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Two or more years of experience in financial services, wealth management, banking, public accounting, or a related profession preferred. 
  • Experience with individual income tax preparation is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Experience with CRM software and financial planning software preferred. (RightCapital experience is a plus.) 

Professional Development

The successful candidate will be expected to obtain the Series 7 and Series 65 licenses (subject to firm and regulatory requirements). Pursuit of the CFP® certification is encouraged for those interested in expanding their financial planning knowledge.
