Human Resources Assistant
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team to help ensure the efficient execution of HR programs, processes, and services. This position maintains personnel records, assists with onboarding and offboarding activities, supports recruiting and training efforts, and helps coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides administrative support for Human Resources programs and initiatives.
- Processes and maintains employee records and personnel documentation.
- Maintains confidential employee files and HR records.
- Assists with recruitment activities, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Supports onboarding activities and new hire orientation.
- Supports offboarding activities and exit interviews.
- Supports employee recognition, wellness, and engagement programs.
- With oversight from the HR managers, assists with benefits administration.
- With oversight from the HR managers, assists with compiling reports and maintaining HR information systems.
- Works effectively as a team member with HR staff, management, and employees.
- Other duties as assigned – it is understood that this list of major duties and responsibilities is not an all-inclusive list and that other duties and responsibilities, which may include helping others in the same or different departments, may be assigned by supervision.
Education, Training, and Experience Requirements
This position requires:
- High School Diploma
- At least 1 year experience in an office setting and/or college education is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- All positions at Zoot require the ability to move about inside an office environment which includes the operation of computers and other office productivity machinery and frequently communicates with other employees, clients, vendors, and visitors.
- This position specifically requires long periods of sitting at a computer workstation.
Working Conditions
- This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
- To optimize team performance, the workspace for this position is typically a cubicle setting in an open space environment.
- It is expected that exempt employees, and specifically this position, regularly and consistently report to work on-site, at Zoot headquarters, during normal business hours.
