Fall 2026 Spark Professional Internship Opportunities with NJDEP:

It starts with a Spark! The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Spark Internship Program is a paid professional development and work-learning experience for undergraduate and graduate students attending accredited colleges and universities, including recent graduates within one year of graduating. There are internship offerings across various NJ DEP programs, providing real-world experience to future leaders in the environmental protection space. 

Internships are available during the fall, summer, and spring. Applications are due at 4:00 pm on the due date. 

Program Highlights:

  • Explore careers in public service and environmental protection 
  • Build resume by gaining practical experience in a supportive, inclusive environment 
  • Grow your professional network with fellow Spark interns and DEP employees
