Are you a machining student or recent graduate looking to start your career in precision manufacturing?

Farzati Manufacturing is seeking a Manual Mill Machinist Trainee to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who has learned the fundamentals of machining in a technical program and wants to continue developing those skills in a real-world manufacturing environment.

You'll work alongside experienced machinists, learn proven machining practices, and gain hands-on experience producing precision components while building a strong foundation for a long-term career in the trade.

What You'll Learn

• Manual milling on Bridgeport-style machines
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances
• Workholding techniques
• Proper use of micrometers, indicators, calipers, edge finders, and other measuring equipment
• Tool selection and machining fundamentals
• Speeds, feeds, and machining a variety of materials
• Blueprint interpretation and basic GD&T
• Professional shop practices and workflow

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate manual milling machines under the guidance of experienced machinists
• Machine precision parts to engineering drawings
• Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment
• Assist with tooling, setups, and daily production activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Continue developing your machining knowledge through hands-on experience

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has:

• Completed or is nearing completion of a machining or manufacturing technology program, or has equivalent experience
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Good attention to detail
• A willingness to learn from experienced machinists
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude

Previous Bridgeport experience is not required.
