We’re seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to join our Birmingham team. This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their construction career—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and is eager to support innovative, integrated project delivery from concept to completion.

What You’ll Do

Support Project Execution:
Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to coordinate and oversee day-to-day operations across active construction projects.

Manage Documentation:
Prepare, track, and organize RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project logs to ensure all communication stays clear and current.

Monitor Budgets & Schedules:
Assist in cost tracking, progress billing, and schedule management to keep projects on time and within budget.

Coordinate with Stakeholders:
Interface with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain alignment and resolve issues proactively.

Champion Quality & Safety:
Support field teams in enforcing safety programs, site protocols, and quality control standards.

Drive Continuous Improvement:
Help identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities within Creature’s integrated design–build system.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

1–3 years of construction project experience preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or other construction management software

A proactive mindset and the ability to collaborate across design, fabrication, and field operations
