Digital and Social Media Coordinator

General Summary: Under the direction of the Youth Services Director: The Digital and Social Media Coordinator ( DSMC) is a self- starter with an experienced understanding of content marketing and outreach. The

DSMC should be skilled in graphic design, content creation and website maintenance. The DSMC is responsible for promoting the Mvskoke Nation Youth Services ( MNYS) program mission and goals through program development, outreach and marketing. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of program mission and goals.

-Manage and maintain the day to day content creation, curation and execution for all MNYS social media platforms.

-Update program website to reflect current services and events. -Prepare and update forms, brochures, publications, flyers, graphics, curriculum, resources, and other informational materials.

-Participate in outreach efforts to promote program goals and activities. -Research and update tribal, local, state and federal resources and opportunities for youth.

-Document services and assist with tracking of program outcomes.

-Assist clients with accessing services and resources to meet their goals. -Apply best practice standards to work with youth and families in the areas of positive youth development, leadership, advocacy, etc.

-Dress and conduct self in a professional manner befitting the position and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

-Report suspected child abuse/ neglect as required by tribal, state, and Interpersonal Skills: federal laws.

-Oral Communication:

Report threats of self -harm or injury to others as required by tribal, state, Written Communication: and federal laws and provide safety planning and referrals as needed.

-Maintain client confidentiality.

-Performs other duties as assigned with the scope of work within the department.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Organizational Support:

-YouTube and Hootsuite, WIX, CANVA.

Quality:

-Must be able to work as a team player and as well as having skills to work Quantity:

-independently to manage projects and tasks.

-Must be able to use critical thinking skills.

-Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Minimum Requirements: Technical Associates degree in digital and social media and/or 5 years experience in digital and social media and design

Preferred Requirements: Bachelors decree or certification in digital media and over 5 years experience.

Valid Oklahoma Driver's License required.
